Bespreking

Long live Blender!

For those who are not aware of its existence: Blender is a software package for 3D modelling, rendering, animation, compositing and much, much more. You can even create your own games with this tool. But its best asset is that it is free and open source software, free to use for any purpose. Hurray!

So what are you waiting for? Download it at blender.org!

Curious about what kind of wonderful things you can create with Blender? Well, then this book is right up your alley. A great selection of the work offered by a plethora of great graphic designers is showcased in one of the best and heartwarming tributes to the open source community.

The production value of this book is acceptable and the selection of work is very representative to the amazing possibilities of Blender. It is a pity that the accompanying text is so sparse, but that is clearly up for debate. Indeed, the main purpose of this book is to “show” you how cool Blender is.
This book should stand on the shelve of every Blender-fan out there!
